Before reaching dental technicians, the restorations are disinfected with ozonised water. An ozoniser changes ordinary tap water into ozonised water, which destroys both viruses and bacteria within 10 minutes.
For all the processes, we have established criteria for the dental laboratory, which have to be met.
We make plaster models using high-quality plaster and equipment, which has been proven suitable over the years – mainly Amann-Girrbach and Picodent. The modern Amann-Girrbach Smartbox automatically dispenses the correct dosage of plaster and water. In order to avoid air bubbles, we mix cast plaster in a vacuum mixer. For making combined models we use the Amann-Girrbach Giroform articulator system. Before commencing work, we perform an analysis of all the models and eliminate possible defects and preliminary contacts.
For fabricating removable prostheses, we use the various denture acrylics of DeguDent and Heraeus Kulzer, both PMMA and light-cured. We use a varied selection of acrylic dentures, including high-quality acrylic dentures from Ivoclar, Vita and DeguDent.
For cobalt chrome partial prostheses, we use the Vitallium cobalt chrome from Elefant (formerly Austenal). This material is extremely durable and light and has brilliant shine: Only select dental laboratories all over the world hold the right to use it.
The non-removable restorations department fabricates various types of restorations, using different materials and innovative techniques. For ceramic restorations, we use DeguDent’s veneering ceramics: Duceram Kiss for metal ceramics, Duceram Kiss Cercon for zirconium work and Finess for pressable-ceramics.
We order the majority of cemented cobalt chrome frameworks from Germany via our Straumann CADCAM scanner. The scanned frameworks arrive at our dental laboratory within 3 working days. The Straumann frameworks are characterised by superb fit, precision and homogeneity.
For fabricating popular zirconium restorations, we use Straumann’s CAD/CAM scanner and DeguDent’s Cercon CAD/CAM system, which allows us to fabricate zirconium restorations at the dental laboratory. Zirconium is used for making caps, bridge frameworks, interlock bridge frameworks, in-lays, on-lays and overlays and individual implant abutments. In order to avoid micro-factures and major splits, we only use a water-cooled turbine engine for processing zirconium frameworks.
We perform various implant related work on a daily basis and have amassed long-standing experience in which solutions to offer our customers, and how. We make both cemented and screw-based versions, both on bridges and ball anchors. As materials, we use gold, cobalt chrome, zirconium and titanium. We have experience with Straumann, Nobel-Biocare, Friadent, Astra, PHI and many other more common implants.
Our spints made by milling machine are precise and fit perfectly. Feedback from doctors have been very positive.
Since the early days of our dental laboratory, we have also manufactured orthodontic devices. The product selection has grown from the common retainers, splints and tooth protection devices to more complex dental adjustment devices. We mostly use products and materials from Forestadent and Dreve.
Since 2007, our dental laboratory has been equipped with a laser welding system, which allows us to perform high-precision and high-quality welds. DeguDent’s laser welder Connexion II Ergo welds cobalt chrome, gold, titanium and other metals. It is used for repairing metal frameworks, restoring braces, connecting different metals, building metal supports, creating retentions and fixing loose bridge frameworks.
